Now you can pull the fan and the heat sink assembly off the motherboard. Get a hold on the both sides of the exposed processor and lift it straight up. Remove any of the screws remaining that keep the motherboard in place and carefully lift it out of the case. Grab the replacement part and put it carefully inside the case and re-attach all screws. Put back all parts: the processor, the fan along with the heat sink, keyboard, hinges and finally the plastic bezel. The battery can now be placed inside the Acer laptop and put the latch on again. Turn on the computer and wait for the operating system to load to make sure the motherboard is working correctly.

Some of the parts are very fragile and you have to be very careful with all of them, especially with the pins on the processor. Don’t bend them when you pull the processor out. It is surely a meticulous work and it requires time and attention.

On notebooks market, prices started going down and being competitive is a real challenge. Now, it seems the Acer Aspire One 751 produced some fresh news, despite the fact it's not released yet...

... although we talked about it already, if I think well, and it seems the Acer Aspire One sporting a 11.6-inch display should be around already. These being said, you probably wonder where's the missing link of the chain, right? Buy Old Macs

Some of you will surely be glad to read this article, but I am really sad to write it. Just as a side note, when I got my latest computer, in late 2007, it only took me a few minutes of research to decide that I won't sell the old one. Why? Because I really love that machine, and it helped me learn(and earn) a lot. In the end, I sold the video card, moved some memory and the 250GB hard drive to my wife's computer, and turned the old Athlon XP machine into a Linux box for emergency situations, after adding some old memory and a 8.4GB drive to it.

When it was launched, Acer Aspire One laptop optimized for fast Internet communication, was described as a lightweight ultra-portable computer weighting about 2 pounds and measuring 9.8 x 6.7 x 1.14 inches. Apple's World’s Thinnest Laptop

Good news for MacBook Air fans! (and for me) According to AppleInsider, the price for a brand new MacBook Air with Solid State Drive got cut off with $500. So as you can see in the picture prepared by the editors at AppleInsider, the price dropped from $3,098 to $2,598 in just a month.

If you haven’t noticed yet, the price for NAND Flash memories is getting lower and the 1.6GHz model with SSD drive is available now at $2,398, which is a significant difference compared to the initial cost. This happened after Apple reduced the price for the 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor to $200, and the drop off the 64GB SSD drive price to $599 from $999.

At this moment, the other version of the MacBook Air with Intel Core 2 Duo processor clocked at 1.6GHz, 2GB memory, 80GB PATA hard drive at4 4200 rpm, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and Wi-Fi module, costs $1,799. The PATA hard drive, also known as Advanced Technology Attachment with Packet Interface, is the original ATA interface that connects hard disks, solid state disks and CD-ROM drives inside computers. PATA allows for parallel connectivity with cable lengths of up to 18 inches, but after SATA standard came out it conquered the market even if PATA was the most popular interface. Serial Advanced Technology Attachment allows for faster data transfers, supporting hot-swapping (replacing devices during operation), thinner cables for more efficient cooling, and improved data integrity checks.

It is not a disadvantage for the MacBook Air users, but the $2,598-model adds faster processing speeds, while both configurations sport a 13.3-inch glossy widescreen LED display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, optimized for best viewing in low light conditions, 2GB memory, and the Intel GMA X3100 graphics processor with 144MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared memory.

Compaq Laptop for $99

Circuit City will out do Wal-mart in the notebook pricing war this holiday season with a Compaq notebook for $99!

Of course, there's a catch - for $99.99 deal, you must sign a 12-month subscription to Vonage. The laptop is $299.99 without the 12-month Vonage subscription and $280 in instant rebate and $100 mail-in. Still cheaper than Wal-mart's $398 deal.

The Compaq Presario notebook features 15.4-inch widescreen with BrightView, Celeron M 420 processor (Wal-mart sells the model with AMD CPU), 512MB DDR RAM, 60GB hard drive, built-in wireless, and DVD/CD burner.

Currently, the notebook sells for $680. Circuit City will offer $280 instant rebate and $100 mail-in rebate ($680 - $380 = $299). The deal will begin during "Black Friday", the hottest shopping day of the season.
