The company has launched 17 new notebook models designed for both business and customer sectors, which were unveiled at Connecting Your World 2008 event in Berlin.


HP EliteBook is a premium notebook series bringing a variety of functionalities for personal use and performance requirements, in durable aircraft-style designs, while the other models sport sleek liquid-metallic HP Imprint 2 surface design.Thinking of removing all mercury from its screens by the end of 2010, HP laptop computers are built with energy-efficient features and offer the possibility to choose mercury-free Illumi-Lite LED displays.


Besides eco-friendliness, the new HP laptop computers are powered by the latest technologies such as AMD Turion 64 X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile Processors, Intel Centrino 2 and Intel Centrino 2 with the vPro technology.HP


Pavilion Entertainment customer notebooks brings design enhancements and innovations such as the invisible chrome controls that light up like magic giving you access to HD TV, pictures, movies and music, via HP QuickPlay.


To add more style you can add the optional HP BrightView Infinity Widescreen with the matched keyboard model and touch pad. For hard drive protection the HP ProtectSmart is ready to detect drops and stop the hard drive from spinning, keeping this way the data stored secure.Another newly launched HP laptop computers series is the HP Compaq Presario with HP Imprint 2 surface finish, which brings optical drives, wireless connectivity, high-quality audio, built-in web camera and microphone.


Next comes the HP EliteBook line optimized for business professionals featuring the durable HP DuraCase brushed anodized aluminum exterior with magnesium alloy chassis. These 2.1Kg-notebooks come with HP QuickLook 2 software, HP SpareKey and HP File Sanitizer, along with shock-resistant hard drive and spill-resistant keyboard. The models are characterized by a 14.1-inch display with optional Illumi-Lite LED technology and up to 15 hours of battery life thanks to the optional Ultra Capacity battery.All these new HP laptop computers will be available starting July and the other lines included are the b series and s series designed for business and security needs.
